Which people will qualify for the different types of Medicare plans?

There are different types of Medicare Advantage plans for 2021 coverage. You will have the original Medicare coverage and the Medicare Advantage Plans coverage. The original Medicare comprises of Medicare Part A and Part B. The Medicare advantage plan is also referred to as Medicare Plan C. Medicare Part D will is also another plan that will take care of your prescription drugs cover. It will reduce your out of the pocket costs. You should note that there are other Medicare plans available for people to subscribe too.  In this article, we will look at the eligibility of the different Medicare plans.

Original Medicare Plan Eligibility.

It is important to note that the Original Medicare plan is only open to United States citizens. If you are also a permanent legal citizen of the country for more than five years, you will be able to get the cover.  There are also other conditions that must be met for your eligibility. The first one is that you must be of the 65 years of age or older. You must also be eligible to get the Social Security. You should note that you will be automatically be enrolled in Medicare Part A when you reach the age of 65 years, and above.  You will also become eligible for the Social Security. People who are already benefiting from the social security or Rail Road Retirements will get Medicare Part A& B cover.

Do disabled people qualify for an original Medicare plan?

The second group of people eligible for Medicare Part A and Part B are those who are permanently disabled, and they have been getting the disability benefits for the past two years.  It will mean that after you receive those benefits, you will get automatically Medicare Part A and Part B.  The third group of people that will be eligible to get the Medicare will be those with end renal disease that need kidney dialysis and treatment. You should note that this group of people will need to sign up to get the Medicare plans. They do not automatically qualify for them.

Which other people qualifies for an Original Medicare plan?

Also people who have Amyotrophic lateral Sclerosis are eligible to get the different Medicare plans. The group of people will get Medicare Part A and B the moment when their disability benefits starts. You should also note that when your spouse has paid Medicare taxes, you will not have to pay premiums for Medicare Part A. The condition is that the spouse should have worked for ten years.  Another thing to note is that people earning more will have to pay more premiums for their Medicare Part B.  Medicare Advantage plan eligibility occurs when you already qualify for Medicare Part A and Part B. You can Compare Medicare Advantage plans to also determine the eligibility.  Another condition is that you must be living within the servicing area of the Medicare original plan.  With Medicare Part D, you must first enroll in Medicare Part A and B to qualify.  It is also mandatory to reside in the service area covered by the Medicare plan.
